Whisked! is a growing wholesale bakery that distributes to more than 70 stores in the DC area. Our handcrafted pies, cookies, and quiches are a local favorite (we won “Best Bakery” and “Best Trendy Dessert” in the Washington Post Express for the past three years), and our products continue to attract new fans. We have plans to expand in the region, and are seeking team members who will help shape our company as we move forward. You must be team-oriented, comfortable taking initiative, and able to pitch in wherever help is needed. Most importantly, we want you to be excited about growing with us! Do you love supporting local by purchasing locally-made products, or encouraging others to do so? Are you passionate about the D.C. food industry and the stories of local food entrepreneurs? Then you may be a good fit for our Brand Ambassador Team! We are looking for friendly, talkative, pie and cookie loving people to join the Whisked! brand ambassador team.
Our brand ambassadors are responsible for conducting demos, engaging with customers, and spreading the Whisked! story. What is a demo? A demo is when we set up a table inside a store that sells our products (usually Yes! Organic Market,MOMs Organic Market, and Whole Foods) and pass out samples of pies and cookies.
Demos typically last 3 hours, and the main goals are to connect with customers, engage in genuine conversations about our brand and our products, and sell product.
Requirements: A car, so you can drive to various demo locations.
Commitment: 10 - 15 hours a week. Preferably weekends, but we can discuss your availability.
Compensation: $15 - $18/hr (DOE) and free product!
This is a fun part-time gig where you get to meet new people, learn about the food community in D.C., and eat cookies!
